BEGGING – THE TOUGHEST PROFFESION
I was
walking down the road one day when I saw a beggar. He was old and lean. His
clothes were tattered and dirty. But there was something strange about him. His
face wore a deep expression of intelligence and he looked very learned. I
decided to talk to him. I went near him and said –
“Baba! What
is your name?” Hearing this he looked astonished for a while and then replied,
“I am Arvind Roy, the author of the book titled – How to make a living.” I was
surprised at this. An author could certainly have found a better way to make a
living.
When I
asked him about it, he replied, “Begging was also suggested as one of the
toughest and honorable ways to make a living in my book.”
And he
chuckled away on his begging spree.
I thought
that really, begging was the most difficult thing in the world to do, as you
almost give nothing in return for the money - perhaps good life after life.
